THIS BATTLE DEMARCATES HER AMBITION VS. HIS MISSION
In 2011 Arvind had set out on a mission, INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION (IAC) with his series of anti-corruption protests and demanded JANLOKPAL BILL against large scale political corruption in India that had been denied by all the political parties for past 40 years. A large chunk of Delhi voters had supported this movement coming out on streets. Kiran Bedi was part of this nationwide agitation too that had opened the eyes of Indians across the nation. The UPA government of Congress and its allies had to use several offensive methods to suppress this revolution but surrendered later when great numbers of people came to Arvind's support with candle marches. Initially, Arvind and Delhi voters were treated with contempt and challenged by the ruling party as well as opposition to come to parliament and form JANLOKPAL BILL since the bills can not be formed and passed in streets.
Arvind was left with no option but to form his political outfit on 2nd October to accomplish his mission. It is also believed by many that Kiran Bedi at that time had a soft corner for BJP who later decided to sever ties with Arvind because Team Anna had started voicing vociferously against the corruption of Ruling UPA and Opposition BJP Both. I remember beautiful poetic lines written by Kumar Vishwas on Kiran Bedi's betrayal: 'युद्धों में कभी नहीं हारे हम डरते हैं छल-छंदों से, हर बार पराजय पाई है अपने घर के जयचंदों से।'

SOFT CORNER OF KIRAN BEDI FOR BJP UNMASKED...
It is also believed that she prepared and convinced Anna Hazare to leave Aam Aadmi Party. Soon, her political ambitions broke all moral barriers and surfaced in the open when she desired to join BJP but her proposition was not accepted readily by Delhi leadership of BJP at the time because they were not prepared to give up on political grounds cherished for years to new entrant just like that.
Now, having experienced seven months of BJP's rule with NEXUS OF BJP CHIEF SATISH UPADHYAY WITH POWER COMPANIES IN THE OPEN, BLACK MONEY ISSUE & INFLATION still dancing overhead, lots of Delhi voters have detached from BJP and subsequently the leadership of BJP at Delhi has lost its popularity and since they had literally none to pitch against Arvind they had to adopt Kiran Bedi overnight in its fold to save its losing battle. Yet, the BJP supporters staged protests in favor of their local leaders against her forced entry for this coveted post of CM.
Kiran Bedi, who has been parachuted abruptly as CM for Delhi by BJP, rejected the offer of HEALTHY DEBATE outright put forward by Arvind Kejriwal for the first time in the history of Indian politics. This debate between two main opponents in Delhi Election would have given another dimension and depth to Indian polity. It is something that none would understand so easily as to why a constructive debate which would be a healthy sign for democracy was spurned by Kiran Bedi. It leaves an impression that she is running away from something that she can not tackle effectively and ruining her own image by doing so. In majority, Delhi voters are in favor of this proposition of Arvind that would certainly have started a new salubrious trend to Indian politics.
It is a world known fact that such debates are conducted and practiced in the presence of public by international leaders in their respective countries during such important polls. Through this process of debate people come to know about the mindsets of their leaders and having read their minds, it becomes easier for the them to judge who would be ideal leader for them.
Earlier, BJP had criticized the the idea of JAGDISH MUKHI being projected as CM of Delhi by AAP in their posters. After the announcement of Kiran Bedi's candidature as CM, BJP had challenged Aam aadmi party leadership if they would like to design another poster with Kiran Bedi as CM along with Arvind in their campaigns. Accepting it boldly with sheer gall AAP has come up with new poster depicting Kiran Bedi as an avaricious opportunist.
The petrol and Diesel prices have been slashed drastically in international market which BJP shamelessly grabs to its credit as if BJP controls international market. Mind it fellows, whenever petrol prices go up in international market, the prices of daily-use commodities go up with a logic that transportation has been expensive so the prices have gone up. But how come the prices of vegetables and other food products are still in the sky when the petrol and diesel are almost down by half on the ground. Where is the logic now? Buried in cold storage of Indian stockists and hoarders?
Why Kiran Bedi has chosen to fight election from safer seat is anybody's guess!!
If you have also noticed as I did, Kiran Bedi is trying to achieve her goals following the footsteps of Arvind Kejriwal visiting the lower and middle class voters and convincing them door to door, street to street to vote her to power. We all know what is the best option for us between ORIGINAL OR COPIER, dont we? Additionally, she is expressing too often in her interviews that Delhi is tired and needs stable govt. But I am of the opinion that the CAPITAL doesn't need somewhat replica of UPA but needs a HONEST, TRANSPARENT AND ACCOUNTABLE government that can give its voters rightfully what they have been deserving for past 66 years.
Don't ever forget voters that DEBATE CULTURE is being denied to Indians which is the need of the hour for transparent politics in India.
