"ONE RANK, ONE PENSION" has been on backlog by every Indian government by their callousness towards Indian Military forces for unbearably too long a period. OROP means that every retired soldier of the same rank and length of service will get the same pension whenever they retire. The political leaders have always taken mileage out of this important issue to get their votes but done literally nothing till date.
At present, the retirement date determines the fate of their pension. The root of contention is that the military soldiers and officers who retire early get less pension in comparison to those who retired later with the same rank and same tenure of their service. However, the PAY COMMISSIONS since 1973 have sent their recommendations of ONE RANK, ONE PENSION at earliest to every government of India every after ten years but unfortunately no government has honoured their promised commitment and delivered justice. It can not be overlooked that Indian National Congress (INC) of Indira Gandhi had terminated OROP and as a result her action had caused sizeable disquiet in the Armed Forces and has since become the major reason of their public protests.
The indifference of top layer of Indian bureaucracy particularly that runs finance departments of this country is to blame for this national mess since they have found no solution for past so many decades.

The Indian forces have always been neglected in this country by these leaders. besides this issue, I have seen & read about multiple cases where their families have not been dealt with due respect and honour by our governments after the losses of their lives. The leaders would step up instantly to shower announcements of various benefits after their sacrificial killings in the line of their duties but their slowest actions takes years and years.
Like his predecessors, Mr. Narendra Modi had also exploited the issue to the hilt making open promises to them in almost every rally to attract their votes in his fold but the results are BIG ZERO as yet. The patience of Armed Forces Vetrans seems to have been dried up since this year various ex-servicemen organizations along with them have been taking to streets & clamouring for justice consistently. Five years ago, several veterans had even returned 20,000 medals to put the government to shame for their apathy but this produced no miracle as well.

As the luck would have it, now the Congress that had been battered over it for taking no actions earlier, has grabbed this opportunity to make most of it and accused BJP for taking U-turn over this national matter. The BJP has no option left but to take notice of this grave situation now or else PM would lose his face since he has assured repeatedly that his government is committed to OROP.

हर साल 1000 करोड अर्थात 10 अरब रुपए का खर्च है तो क्या?
अगर दिल्ली की भाजपा शासित नगर पालिका का सालो से चल्र रहा, 22 000 फरज़ी कर्मचारियों के वेतन का प्रति वर्ष का लगभग 3 अरब का घोटाला चेक कर लो, तो सैनिकों के लिये काफी पैसा वहीं से निकल आयेगा.
जो देश अपने सैनिको का सम्मान नही कर सकता उसका खुद का सम्मान खतरे मे है.

Deenu Deenu जब से एक रैंक एक पेंशन की बात शुरू हुई है तब से ले कर आज तक जैसे ही देश के किसी हिस्से में चुनाव आने वाला होता है, बरसाती मेंढक की तरह हर नेता टर्रर्र टर्रर्र करते हुए भाषण झाड़ने लगता है कि मैं और मेरी पार्टी सत्ता में आते ही एक रैंक एक पेंशन तुरंत लागू कर दें गे ! बेचारे फौजी, जिन्हों ने अपनी ज़िन्दगी के १५, २०, २५, ३०, ४० साल देश कि सुरक्षा बनाए रखने के लिए खरच कर दिए वो इन नए बरसाती मेंढकों को वोट दे देते हैं और यह बरसाती मेंढक सत्ता संभालते ही हमारी नज़रों से ओझल हो कर इस प्लानिंग में लग जाते हैं कि जनता पर किस किस तरह से टैक्स बढ़ा कर और भी पैसा इकठा किया जाए, कैसे अपना स्विस बैंक बैलेंस बढ़ाया जाए और आने वाले ५ सालों में खुद को कैसे लखपति से करोड़पति या अरबपति बनाया जाए ! इसी प्लानिंग में एक साल निकल जाता है !
देश कि सुरक्षा के लिए जान देने का जज़्बा रखने वाले सीधे सादे फौजी साल भर इस खबर का इंतज़ार करते रहते हैं कि शायद आज समाचार आ जाये कि सरकार ने पेंशन वाली स्कीम लागू कर दी है ! १२ महीने अपनी पासबुक ले कर बैंक में अपडेट कराने जाते हैं, इस उम्मीद से कि शायद इस बार इस बार पासबुक के बैलेंस वाले कॉलम में ६ अंकों वाली फिगर दिखे गी, लेकिन उनकी उमीदों पर अग्निवर्षा तब होती हैं जब उनका चुना हुआ नेता टेलीविज़न पर भाषण देते हुए पेंशन स्कीम का ज़िक्र तक नहीं करता और टेलीविज़न स्क्रीन पर उन्हें सिर्फ एक लाइन पढ़ने को मिलती है कि एक रैंक एक पेंशन स्कीम को लागू करने में अभी और वक्त लगे गा ! भोले भाले फौजी इन मेंढकों की राजनीती से बेखबर आपस में बातें करने लगते हैं कि भाई और कितना टाइम लगे गा, मुझे तो रिटायर हुए भी २० साल हो गए, अब तो ५, १० साल में लाइफ भी खत्म हो जाए गी, क्या मेरे मरने से पहले एक रैंक एक पेंशन वाली स्कीम चालू हो सके गी ....भारत के सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने सरकार को हुक्म तक दे रखा है कि फौजियों को एक रैंक एक पेंशन कि स्कीम के तहत तुरंत पैसा दे दिया जाए परन्तु फिर भी बहाने बना बना कर इस हुक्म को टला जा रहा है !
अब तो लगता है कि भारत के राजनेता शायद इस फिराक में बैठे हैं कि पैसा लेने वालों में से जैसे पहले ही कई फौजी मर चुके हैं वैसे ही कुछ और फौजी भी मर जाएं ताकि यह उनके हिस्से का पैसा उनके मरने के बाद अपने स्विस बैंक्स खाते में जमा कर के अपनी तिजोरियां भर सकें ! वरना देश के लिए मर मिटने का जज़्बा रखने वाले फौजियों के हक़ के पैसे देने के लिए सालों तक सोचना पड़ता है ?
