We all know that Rahul Gandhi has been supporting farmers of this country against autocratic land acquisition ordinance of BJP for a long time that has been an unbearable headache for the Central Government. Having been scorned away by Arun Jaitley, the students with a glimmer of hope have now turned to Rahul for his support on their issue.

The Congress Leader, Rahul Gandhi's sudden visit to FTII, Pune has rattled BJP beyond measure and its leaders have trained their verbal guns at him. Rahul promised the students that his support would always be there with them for their valid demand for Gajendra Chauhan & four others' removal who lack credentials for their prominent posts. 

RAHUL STEPS IN TO EXTEND HIS SUPPORT TO FTII STUDENTS WHEN GOVT REFUSES TO HEED THEIR DEMANDS...

"Why is the Govt disturbed by your genuine protest, Rahul asked them & showed his anger on it. He alleged that RSS and its Wings promotes mediocrity and he has seen it every where. They often accuse, "You are anti-Hindu, anti-national to suppress your voices," nonetheless, he expressed his solidarity with them. He added that if Narendra Modi has decided that Gajendra Chauhan is going to be the chairperson then none in BJP can change it. 

During interaction, one of the students even asked him to raise their demand in parliament which he would surely do since he has another issue-arrow in his Bow to fire at BJP to make most of this. On FTII row BJP has faced music outside parliament but now, Rahul can mount pressure on the government inside the house.  

On 3rd July, a delegation of ten members had met I&B Minister, Arun Jaitley but his ministry refused to roll back appointment of Ftii's new chairperson, Gajendra Chauhan. The students have been in constant touch with ministry to resolve the said issue but they have been facing deadlock till date since 12th June, the day their strike commenced. To get the attention of parliament, they even wrote to several members of Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha and even shot a letter to PM, Narendra Modi too but all their efforts produced no results. 

In response to his visit, BJP termed it as a photo-op politics. Although, majority of Bollywood actors and technicians are on Students' side but Paresh Raval had to stick to his party's stand probably under pressure. He remarked, "Rahul has got this new issue, let him be happy for the time being talking about it, we will reply later." 

Apparently, the BJP Govt. has decided to wait patiently to get the students break on their own never-ending strike but the FTII students have dug their heels in the sand to stand their ground this time around until their goals are achieved.

Of late, Delhi CM has been under severe criticism by media for not following the values and spirit of AAP that he had been preaching to the nation before coming to power. If what I saw in the following news of AAJ TAK is true then he is cutting his bad image like many others in BJP and Congress whom he has been criticizing from day one. If he continues doing what other political parties have been doing then where is the difference between him and others.

Today, I came across the views of a gentleman online and happened to watch the following news that Delhi CM has offered Cabinet Rank to his aide, Ashish Khetan. It has shaken my faith too to an extent, I had developed over the period for AAP and its leader. I have already written several posts over the mistakes he committed after he came to power. This bad news refers to another wrong action coming from this leader.

PRIME MINISTER TURNS GENETICIST IN BIHAR...

At the outset of assembly polls campaign, Prime Minister with his offensive in Muzaffarpur rally, Bihar, points at serious anomalies in Nitish Kumar's political DNA profile especially because JD(U) had ditched BJP in 2013 and recently made friends with RJD but surprisingly on his party's front he doesn't find anything wrong in Sushma Swaraj, Vasundhara Raje & Shivraj Singh Chauhan's DNAs at all who are shrouded under serious allegations for which he is facing Logjam in parliament that is costing this country dearly. The ludicrous statements mushroom in rainy season like all is well in BJP and there is nothing wrong it has done to be ashamed of and no law has been broken by their ministers and CMs.

At the opportune time of elections round the corner, he tries to woo the voters with his economic package of more than 50,000 crores. How can this sort of electoral bait be allowed by ECI at this important juncture of forth coming elections in Bihar. 

Well, this is not unusual, this is India and anything basically is allowed here because the implementation of laws is awfully poor in India. The disruption in parliament hardly matters.

Although, PM & CM shared the same stage & laughs in Patna and behaved perfectly as if they are best political pals but the spitefully bitter differences between the two leaders is world known. PM explained how the betrayal has always been part of Nitish Kumar's prime characteristic.  Nitish went on to ditch George Fernandes to Sushil Modi & then Jitan Ram Manjhi. Though BJP was in alliance with JDU for 17 years yet he dumped its long association for his personal gains. Modi urged the voters not to trust the leaders (JDU, RJD & Congress) who can not be trusted and sit in single-engine-train for the growth & development of the State. 

Having not been invited to Privartan Rally of BJP, Shatrughan Sinha the most upset & unhappy MP from BJP has been invited formally now by Janta Dal United to join their party. If this switch-over betrayal happens which is most likely in the current scenario, will upset & hurt Modi more than any body else.

SNR JUDGE MALIGNS HIS JUDICIAL COMMUNITY ...

Though the corruption in Indian judiciary is not that common but this brutal fact can not be denied that it too is part of our rotten system. Shranappa Sajjan, a snr Civil Judge was nabbed from his residence by the Vigilance Squad of Karnataka high Court while taking a bribe of Rs. one Lakh from Keerthiraj Posthe informed Bidar Police Superintendent, C. H. Sudheer Kumar Reddy. 

The judge who once ruled his court had to be produced as an accused before another judge who sent him to judicial custody for 15 days right away. Bidar police had lodged cases against Sajjan and Baburao Biradkar & Koushik Jagirdar who were acting as judge's messengers & arrested them as well. 

The high court chief justice had accepted his resignation though as every corrupt politician & govt. officer he also denied the charges and said he had taken the loan of one lakh.

BCCI STICKS TO ITS BAN DESPITE THE CHARGES BEING DROPPED IN THE COURT AGAINST THE CRICKETERS...

Though Delhi Patiala House Court has dropped all the charges of spot-fixing, Conspiracy & cheating that were levelled against S Sreesanth, Ankit Chavan & Ajit Chandila. Surprisingly BCCI makes it clear to the media that the judgement has no bearing on their stand and sticks to its life ban on three cricketers that lacks justification now which certainly is highly undemocratic and against their fundamental rights to play for the country after it has been proved beyond doubt that they are not guilty in the eyes of the law. As usual, this verdict too causes huge embarrassment to the investigating cops of the case and sends a clear signal about the dubious integrity of Indian police yet again.

If the cricketers who seem desperate to make their comeback, decide to challenge the ban in the court later they can surely trounce BCCI & win again and get their place back in the team which is their constitutional right if they are innocent. It is sad that there is no provision in our law to punish those cops who prepared charge sheet against these players for which they had to spend quite some time in the jail during the probe.

THE RICHEST CIVIC BODY OF MUMBAI ALSO PAYS NO ATTENTION TO THIS DRIVE.

By now, the entire nation is well acquainted with the nationwide cleanliness drive the PM had started to make India Clean and a great deal of money also has been spent on its ad campaigns for awareness, yet the richest Municipal corporation of Mumbai is paying barely any heed to it. 

This season the rain had uprooted many trees across the city, Mumbai. Usually when the tree falls in the centre of the road BMC rushes hurriedly to the spot and chops off the tree in segments to push it aside to avoid traffic jam &  media criticism. I have spotted the remnants of such chopped trees lying for past many days at couple of places between my residence and office and none in the civic body seems to take interest to clear the mess. 

I even brought it to the notice of municipal truck driver who was picking up trash nearby but he replied it is the job of the #BMC dumper, he is not assigned for it. Of late, I had read a couple of news about the same issue where locals in Bandra & Lokhandwala, Mumbai had complained for uprooted trees not been cleared in their areas by BMC.

Probity of PM questioned in Parliament today

SNR BJP MP'S LETTER AGAINST HIS OWN PARTY FUELS THE ISSUE.

The Congress MPs surprised & greeted the house with black bands and a placard specially phrased to humiliate PM, Narendra Modi, “Bada Modi mehrbaan to chhota Modi pehelwan" to protest over external affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Lalit Modi. Lok Sabha Speaker did not like it and warned of taking disciplinary actions against them if they flouted the procedural rules of the house wearing black bands and by showing placard.

The parliament had to be adjourned again and again because of the relentless ruckus coming from the Congress side after the Speaker rejected adjournment motion moved by Mallikaarjun Kharge & other leaders. As a result of rejection of the motion, the opposition stormed the Well and disrupted the house.



This happened the in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sushma who had tweeted that she would disclose the name of a Congress leader, accused of coal scam, who had asked for travel relaxations.



On the other side, Rajya Sabha was adjourned too in similar fashion over Lalit Modi and Vyapam admission and recruitment scam of Madhya Pradesh. Eventually the opposition along with BSP and Left insisted the debate would not be allowed without the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj & Vasundhara Raje who had allegedly helped Lalit modi.



With regard to Vyapam, BJP said the state issue can not be discussed as per the rules of the house but Congress refused to accept it as State issue since the killings have taken places in other states as well.




In defence of Sushma, Arun Jaitley argued that she has not flouted any law of the constitution which really surprised everyone. if it is true and there is nothing wrong in helping an absconder of India laws then how come, PM is silent over it




Today, Mayavati appeared seemingly very vicious attacking PM saying the episode had exposed PM who had promised, NO KHAOONGA, NA KHANE DOONGA. To show solidarity, the opposition ganged up giving notices to suspend business of the house to discuss on Lalitgate and Vyapam.The letter from senior BJP MP, Shanta Kumar added fuel to the issue.

THE CHEAPEST CANTEEN FOR INDIAN KING & QUEEN...

 

I read an appeal today made to our PM that jolted me so hard that I had to write this post on this ultra-important issue of subsidy. Taking everything into account, their royal life styles, assets & wealth, today's politicians are no less than the kings and queens of ancient India. They virtually enjoy all kinds of numerous luxuries, perks, privileges and amenities that were the prerogatives of only the Kings, queens, his/her family of rich & famous and his ministers and his loved ones.

The "Give It Up" slogan is believed to be coined by none but PM, Narendra Modi but hasn't he forgot to take look at his parliament. The sudden bombardment of #GiveupGas & anti-subsidy ads campaigns on every channels are depicting as if India is suffering from some severe subsidy-crisis which in turn is hurting our economy immensely but can one overlook the largesse & open-handedness of irrational racket of subsidies in govt canteens our parliamentarians, Rajya sabha members & other elected members of assemblies across nation are revelling in scores of subsidized amenities, comforts, travel allowances and facilities.

In literal sense, they all are living king-size lives but are shamelessly asking the nation to shed off subsidized items voluntarily but on their front, they all seem to be so callous with their their eyes closed and ears plugged that they aren't ready to give up what they are using for decades and what they can comfortably surrender. Furthermore, they do not hesitate to usurp whatever they can lay their hands on during their tenure and a few corrupt even indulge in loot & plunder of national wealth. 

They are miles and miles away from the Inflation of this country. Do they every spend a single penny from their pockets on their own? Everything they are using is given to them by tax payers. Can these super rich dudes who have millions in their bank accounts feel the pain of inflation who have not been affected by it at all. Can these so-called rich servants, Jan Sevaks, Chowkidars, sense what stressful lives an ordinary Indian is facing on every day basis?

IN HARYANA, ONE CAN SCORE 22 OUT OF 20 MARKS...

If you are haryana resident then you can be quite luckier than others getting 22 out of 20 in job interview by Haryana versity. In September, 2012, at Kurukshetra University the selection committee had showered incomprehensible 22 marks upon a candidate, Vandana Sharma who was seeking Asst. Professor's job and out of 151 candidates only she secured her job with the help of these two extra marks she had been awarded with than the next best applicant.

Following a complaint by Ajayab Singh who had scored two marks less than her, Haryana Government has ordered a vigilance probe into the alleged irregularities in the interviews that were headed by Mr. D D S Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, Kurukshetra University.

The complainant would never have reached the truth and roots of the corruption, had he not sought information under the RTI Act. He was outraged to learn that she had secured the job on the basis of two extra marks that were given to her in the interview which makes it obvious that the selection committee had predecided to give her the post. He pointed out that he had achieved 65 out of 100 whereas Dr. Vandana was leading him by 2 marks (67/100) because she was helped unbelievably with 22 marks out of 20 in her interview.

On the other side, Mr Sandhu has moved the Punjab & Haryana High Court with a plea that the state govt's probe is an attempt to tarnish his image. 

It may be recalled that Haryana has already been embroiled in Recruitment Scam in the past and MP's Vyapam scam with 48 serial killings has rocked the nation & brought BJP into disrepute falls in the same category. On January 16, 2013, the Delhi court had convicted 55 people that includes former Chief Minister O P Chautala and his elder son, Ajay Chautala for illegitimate recruitment of over 3000 Junior Teachers in 1999-2000. It seems corruption is going to stay in government depts forever.

If you remember Amit Shah's words after BJP's thumping victory, he had said with overbearing haughtiness it is BJP's Tsunami of Triumph. Now he has caused another Tsunami in the political corridors of India by confessing the disgraceful truth before the media and the country.

The BJP president has virtually shaken the grounds under the feet of the entire nation by revealing an opprobrious truth openly that India has to wait patiently for another 25 years to witness Achche Din that were promised by the PM.

'Why I will not waive my gas subsidy': An open letter to the Prime Minister

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated a LPG subsidy campaign, which is aimed at saving on crores of rupees. The Prime Minister’s GiveItUp campaign urges citizens belonging to the higher strata to give up their LPG subsidy. Modi said, that if people willingly give up their subsidy, their additional amount can add to the development of India, where it is highly required.

However, as reported by Mangalore Today, Sumith S Rao, a well-known city based businessman and a former President of the District Small Scale Industries Association, sent out an open letter to the Prime Minister clarifying as to why he will not give up his LPG subsidy, even when he can afford it!

Below is the letter he wrote, which was addressed to Narendra Modi.

Respected Sir:

You have asked the rich and affluent people of India to waive off their share of subsidy on gas cylinders used by them in their homes and help in nation building.

I, for one would definitely prescribe to your view and gladly do so. In return, I would like all of you esteemed gentlemen and ladies who run our great country to also reciprocate our generous offer.

If only, every corporator, MLA, MP, and Minister could also waive off his gas subsidy, we the people of India would be very proud of you and salute you. You would be setting an example to the citizens of India.

Most of you have declared incomes running into a few crores while contesting the elections. When will the day come when you will think of our poor brethren and waive off all the perks that you enjoy because of your position. When will you stop voting unanimously for a pay hike for yourselves, while bitterly fighting against all other issues in Parliament? When will we see you act as responsible citizens and fight over issues rather than take party based decisions?

Let me tell you, dear Sir, the Chancellor of a super power like Germany Ms. Angela Merkel rides on a public train to work, whereas in our country everyone from the Prime Minister, to the Members of Parliament, even down to the Zilla Panchayat President is allocated a car which is paid for from the coffers of our country which is filled generously by the tax payers money.

You incur thousands of rupees worth of telephone bills, electricity bills, free accommodation in luxury bungalows, avail free travel on public transportation, go on foreign jaunts on flimsy excuses and we the people of India pay for it. When will you be a proud Indian and pay for all these facilities availed by you?

You get admitted to luxury hospitals for even a headache and especially when a probe is launched against you for any misdemeanor. Even there, you get the best beds and facilities free of charge. Pray, tell me, Sir “When will you pay for these privileges?”

You travel in air conditioned railway coaches and fly first class in planes even when you are not on official duty. It is us, the citizens of India who pay the fare for you.

Everyone, who is anybody, stakes his claim to fame by clamouring for “Z Class” security when the actual risk assessment for that person is zero. We, the people of India pay a fortune for your security. Alas, what a travesty of our times. That you who should be protecting the nation are being protected by the common man at his cost.

There are people in India who cannot even afford one meal a day and do not even have the strength to complain about it. Sadly, while you enjoy a cup of coffee bought at a princely sum of Rupees One or a full meal at Rupees Twelve at the Parliament canteen in air conditioned comfort and cannot be bothered about these trivial issues. When shall you pay the full cost of a meal without passing on the bill to your countrymen?

Sir, I am just an ordinary citizen of India who dutifully pays his Income tax, Service Tax, Value Added Tax, Wealth Tax, Corporation Tax, Automobile Registration Tax and Property Tax which goes up to nearly 50 percent of our hard earned money while you enjoy the benefits of these taxes and live a privileged life because every citizen of India pays for your privileges.

The day all of you forego and waive all the unnecessary perquisites bestowed upon you by laws enacted by you would be a proud one in our nation’s history.

The day, you gentlemen who have been elected to power by the people to govern our nation become responsible citizens of INDIA will be a milestone in our history.

That day, all of us will definitely waive off our gas subsidy.

When the Center Govt. knows it well that there are people in crores in India unduly availing this gas subsidy who do not deserve it at all then why can't the Govt. devise a mechanism to sort out categorically those people who deserve it and who don't. Why showing sheer helplessness begging the affluent people to give up subsidy on their own.

I found this relevant letter shown above that also goes against give-up-gas-demand as well and raises valid questions.

WHO IS THE VICTIM OF THIS STRIKE, THE INELIGIBLE CANDIDATE OF FTII OR THE ASPIRING STUDENTS OF FTII?

I appreciate the way Ranbir has taken initiative for Students' cause

The brain behind this striking caption deserves all the praise.

The students have shown great deal of patience and determination with non-violent & peaceful protests.

I & B Minister, Arun Jaitley didn't care at all to look into the poor credentials of Mr. Gajendra Chauhan and appointed him recklessly as the chairman of FTII. It appears an obvious case of power abuse to me. The only thing that Mr. Gajendra has to his credit is his nationwide popular performance as YUDHISHTRA which ironically seemed an illustrious asset to BJP government. What they overlooked during his selection was his multiple third-rate (C-grade) films like "KHULI KHIDKI" TAPISH" "ROOPA RANI RAMKALI" etc. that adequately shows kind of cinema he has believed in or else he would not have dreamed of doing those sleazy low class movies for which mainly he is facing tremendous protests from all over India. 

Only an incompetent person would have approved of such credentials for this eminent post. Are there no brains in BJP government that they could not fine better option for this post than proposing his candidature for it? The majority of the people from Bollywood are dead against his appointment. Though on the other side, Mr. Gajendra has some Bollywood support on his side but he should introspect honestly into his being and realize what he should be doing ideally at this moment. Out of his foolish ignorance, he is trying for a post that he doesn't deserve at all. Look at how he is showing his brilliance, why he deserves it... 

The FTII (The film & television Institute of India) is highly respected institute for film making education. This institute deserves the best faculties who understand the world cinema and guide the students to excellence. The students have expressed due anger against his selection for this highest post in FTII.

I believe strongly that Gajendra Chauhan has been duly insulted by FTII student as they dubbed him as, "POLITICAL GARBAGE." I am amazed that the strike of 30 days and the suffering of such a huge insult has not opened his eyes till date. After all this protest and outcry Mr. Gajendra himself should have tendered his resignation. 

Isn't this high time that FTII become independent to choose the best brains to run it? Though BJP Government has not surrendered yet stubbornly before the genuine concern of students but eventually it would have to bow down before their legitimate demand of his removal. Arun Jaitley may have won the supreme court cases in large number but he is going to lose this case for sure before the undying determination of the FTII students in public court. This strike is going to gobble up his prestige in the end.

As usual, it doesn't fail to offer me immense pleasure when I observe people fighting for their right with spectacular unity. The students deserve all the laurels and honour for their massive strength & genuine rebellion. Their outstanding skill manifests in great degree below in their every poster and placard of their strike in order to safeguard the dignity and improve the standards of their institute.
