IAS OFFICER, RITU BAFNA EXPRESSES INFINITE PAIN AGAINST SEXUAL HARASSMENT...

Usually, an Indian woman thinks ten times before coming out openly against sexual exploitation that is deeply set in our homes, society and workplaces. The women tend to keep it to themselves as long as they can bear it and find it pretty difficult to discuss this issue with family members and even with their husbands though they are believed to be supplementary to each other. 

One can safely imagine how deeply Ritu has been disturbed and traumatized with her sexual harassment case and its subsequent battle that she had to write against her own being. Her statement, "I CAN ONLY PRAY THAT NO WOMAN IS BORN IN THIS COUNTRY" describes explicitly the highest intensity of pain and hatred she must have felt & developed speaking such abhorring words which in fact is against the existence of mankind, for it can not survive with out female counterpart. I agree with the fact that hers would not have been national news had she not used such words.

I was aghast to read that even a judge in the temple of justice denied her the right to privacy which is a fundamental right of every woman. Had she been in some other democratic country, barring a few where women are not respected, would she have been denied this right? I respect this woman immensely who is fighting to get justice not only for her but the entire fraternity.

Hi everyone. I am posting this message to share my experience with judiciary on a sexual harassment case filed by me.

Santosh Chaubey, Aayogmitra of MP Human Rights Commission was sending me indecent messages last week. I had filed an FIR against him and criminal action is being pursued against him. He was immediately removed from his job, thanks to the swift action by my Collector, Shri Bharat Yadav.

Today, I went to give my statement to the Judicial Magistrate. While I was giving my statement, an advocate named Lalit Sharma was standing next, overhearing my statement, along with others in the court. I asked the judicial magistrate to ask others to leave as I was uncomfortable giving my statement in front of so many people. On saying this, Lalit Sharma started shouting at me, saying "how dare you suggest me to leave, I am an advocate here and you might be an officer in your office but not in the Court". I told him that the privacy I am demanding is not as an IAS officer but as a woman and laws provide me with that. He started arguing and eventually left.

Such is the state of affairs for women in this country. When I said to Judicial Magistrate that he should be careful of presence of other people when a woman is giving statement under sexual harassment case, he said that you are young and that's why demanding such things.

Idiots are lined up at every step and people are highly insensitive towards our sufferings. If you are born in this country, better prepare yourself for struggle at every step.

THE GAME OF SUSPENSION & REINSTATEMENT ON ERRING COPS IS COMMON IN INDIA...

An Alert Indian shot this evidential video clip of two cops thrashing a poor farmer in broad day light in Beed District that went viral a day before on social media. When media reported this brutal atrocity on their news channels the Superintendent of Police, Anil Paraskar, swung into action with immediate suspension of the erring cops in question with an enquiry being ordered into it. The act of cops suspension is usually meant to extenuate the burning issue that often leads to embarrassment so that it ends right there and then but do the cops ever be penalized in Spartan manner for their uncalled for actions in India. That looks quite doubtful to me. 

SERVING PEOPLE WITH STICKS & BOOTS

The poor farmer, Manohar Ashruba Gandhle, owner of five acre farm land, was standing in the queue to pay his crop insurance premium at some rural bank at Talwada in Gevrai tehsil and unfortunately got into verbal argument with another person in the queue. Does it make him a criminal? Do the cops have a right to exercise their power on common people in this ruthless manner? Should the poor farmer be beaten mercilessly like this the way it is shown in the clip. They have no right to beat even a criminal let alone an innocent farmer. Probably, this is why the word, #thulla, was coined by public in disgust for such irresponsible cops who carry devil-may-care attitude.

Thulla, a disrespectful word (slang) used by public generally for cops was in news for a few days recently when it was uttered by Arvind Kejriwal in one of his interviews. I am sure he did not use it to disregard the entire fraternity but it looked like, the word came out of his mouth on its own as spoken generally for corrupt cops who step out of their limits to torment poor people whom they are supposed to protect and serve.

The moment I saw this ugly news that shot up my anger, I had made up my mind to write a post on it. You may have watched this sickening video that shows the inefficacy of the training the Indian cops go through to serve the public. Are the police there to protect or persecute a common man? As you sow, so shall you reap, proverb is coming true indeed because BJP's old deeds (good or bad) are repaying it in kind. There is no doubt, the Parliament logjam is a national waste but If we remember UPA times of coal, 2G & other scams, it would take us to similar situation wherein BJP hadn't allowed parliament to function holding it to ransom until they had got resignations of UPA ministers. 

Did BJP have an inkling at that time that they would suffer from the same fate in the future? Perhaps, they didn't have even an idea that they would come to power with thumping majority.

As luck would have it, the camel has sat on opposition side now. The controversial actions of Sushma Swaraj, Vasundhara Raje and Shivraj singh Chauhan have offered a golden opportunity to the opposition on a golden platter. The Congress who would not let it slip away, is adamant that they would let the houses function till the Ministers in question put in their papers on the controversial issues of Lalitgate & Vyapam. 

Both the houses for the second week (Lok sabha & RajyaSabha)) have been witness to repeated noisy protests from the opposition and haven't literally transacted any business in this session and the current session has been a complete wash out. It is evident that BJP is being paid in the same coin. The situation got worsened when Congress MP, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury slammed placard on Speaker's table and as a result he had to face the suspension of one day. 

As the Bihar elections are round the corner, BJP has been caught up in tough situation, Neither BJP can swallow it nor it can throw up. It can not afford to ask its ministers to tender resignations because if it does so, it might impact negatively on the upcoming electoral results.

As a last resort, Sumitra Mahajan, Lok Sabha Speaker has convened all party meeting to seek an end to this ONGOING DEADLOCK in the houses but I am afraid, the Congress would not give in under any circumstance.

We all know that Rahul Gandhi has been supporting farmers of this country against autocratic land acquisition ordinance of BJP for a long time that has been an unbearable headache for the Central Government. Having been scorned away by Arun Jaitley, the students with a glimmer of hope have now turned to Rahul for his support on their issue.

The Congress Leader, Rahul Gandhi's sudden visit to FTII, Pune has rattled BJP beyond measure and its leaders have trained their verbal guns at him. Rahul promised the students that his support would always be there with them for their valid demand for Gajendra Chauhan & four others' removal who lack credentials for their prominent posts. 

RAHUL STEPS IN TO EXTEND HIS SUPPORT TO FTII STUDENTS WHEN GOVT REFUSES TO HEED THEIR DEMANDS...

"Why is the Govt disturbed by your genuine protest, Rahul asked them & showed his anger on it. He alleged that RSS and its Wings promotes mediocrity and he has seen it every where. They often accuse, "You are anti-Hindu, anti-national to suppress your voices," nonetheless, he expressed his solidarity with them. He added that if Narendra Modi has decided that Gajendra Chauhan is going to be the chairperson then none in BJP can change it. 

During interaction, one of the students even asked him to raise their demand in parliament which he would surely do since he has another issue-arrow in his Bow to fire at BJP to make most of this. On FTII row BJP has faced music outside parliament but now, Rahul can mount pressure on the government inside the house.  

On 3rd July, a delegation of ten members had met I&B Minister, Arun Jaitley but his ministry refused to roll back appointment of Ftii's new chairperson, Gajendra Chauhan. The students have been in constant touch with ministry to resolve the said issue but they have been facing deadlock till date since 12th June, the day their strike commenced. To get the attention of parliament, they even wrote to several members of Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha and even shot a letter to PM, Narendra Modi too but all their efforts produced no results. 

In response to his visit, BJP termed it as a photo-op politics. Although, majority of Bollywood actors and technicians are on Students' side but Paresh Raval had to stick to his party's stand probably under pressure. He remarked, "Rahul has got this new issue, let him be happy for the time being talking about it, we will reply later." 

Apparently, the BJP Govt. has decided to wait patiently to get the students break on their own never-ending strike but the FTII students have dug their heels in the sand to stand their ground this time around until their goals are achieved.

Of late, Delhi CM has been under severe criticism by media for not following the values and spirit of AAP that he had been preaching to the nation before coming to power. It has shaken my faith too to an extent, I had developed over the period for AAP and its leader. I have already written several posts over the mistakes he committed after he came to power. At the outset of assembly polls campaign, Prime Minister with his offensive in Muzaffarpur rally, Bihar, points at serious anomalies in Nitish Kumar's political DNA profile especially because JD(U) had ditched BJP in 2013 and recently made friends with RJD but surprisingly on his party's front he doesn't find anything wrong in Sushma Swaraj, Vasundhara Raje & Shivraj Singh Chauhan's DNAs at all who are shrouded under serious allegations for which he is facing Logjam in parliament that is costing this country dearly. The ludicrous statements mushroom in rainy season like all is well in BJP and there is nothing wrong it has done to be ashamed of and no law has been broken by their ministers and CMs.

At the opportune time of elections round the corner, he tries to woo the voters with his economic package of more than 50,000 crores. How can this sort of electoral bait be allowed by ECI at this important juncture of forth coming elections in Bihar. 

Well, this is not unusual, this is India and anything basically is allowed here because the implementation of laws is awfully poor in India. The disruption in parliament hardly matters.

Although, PM & CM shared the same stage & laughs in Patna and behaved perfectly as if they are best political pals but the spitefully bitter differences between the two leaders is world known. PM explained how the betrayal has always been part of Nitish Kumar's prime characteristic.  Nitish went on to ditch George Fernandes to Sushil Modi & then Jitan Ram Manjhi. Though BJP was in alliance with JDU for 17 years yet he dumped its long association for his personal gains. Modi urged the voters not to trust the leaders (JDU, RJD & Congress) who can not be trusted and sit in single-engine-train for the growth & development of the State. 

Having not been invited to Privartan Rally of BJP, Shatrughan Sinha the most upset & unhappy MP from BJP has been invited formally now by Janta Dal United to join their party. If this switch-over betrayal happens which is most likely in the current scenario, will upset & hurt Modi more than any body else.

Though the corruption in Indian judiciary is not that common but this brutal fact can not be denied that it too is part of our rotten system. Shranappa Sajjan, a snr Civil Judge was nabbed from his residence by the Vigilance Squad of Karnataka high Court while taking a bribe of Rs. one Lakh from Keerthiraj Posthe informed Bidar Police Superintendent, C. H. Sudheer Kumar Reddy. 

The judge who once ruled his court had to be produced as an accused before another judge who sent him to judicial custody for 15 days right away. Bidar police had lodged cases against Sajjan and Baburao Biradkar & Koushik Jagirdar who were acting as judge's messengers & arrested them as well. 

The high court chief justice had accepted his resignation though as every corrupt politician & govt. officer he also denied the charges and said he had taken the loan of one lakh.

BCCI STICKS TO ITS BAN DESPITE THE CHARGES BEING DROPPED IN THE COURT AGAINST THE CRICKETERS...

Though Delhi Patiala House Court has dropped all the charges of spot-fixing, Conspiracy & cheating that were levelled against S Sreesanth, Ankit Chavan & Ajit Chandila. Surprisingly BCCI makes it clear to the media that the judgement has no bearing on their stand and sticks to its life ban on three cricketers that lacks justification now which certainly is highly undemocratic and against their fundamental rights to play for the country after it has been proved beyond doubt that they are not guilty in the eyes of the law. As usual, this verdict too causes huge embarrassment to the investigating cops of the case and sends a clear signal about the dubious integrity of Indian police yet again.

If the cricketers who seem desperate to make their comeback, decide to challenge the ban in the court later they can surely trounce BCCI & win again and get their place back in the team which is their constitutional right if they are innocent. It is sad that there is no provision in our law to punish those cops who prepared charge sheet against these players for which they had to spend quite some time in the jail during the probe.

THE RICHEST CIVIC BODY OF MUMBAI ALSO PAYS NO ATTENTION TO THIS DRIVE.

By now, the entire nation is well acquainted with the nationwide cleanliness drive the PM had started to make India Clean and a great deal of money also has been spent on its ad campaigns for awareness, yet the richest Municipal corporation of Mumbai is paying barely any heed to it. 

This season the rain had uprooted many trees across the city, Mumbai. Usually when the tree falls in the centre of the road BMC rushes hurriedly to the spot and chops off the tree in segments to push it aside to avoid traffic jam &  media criticism. I have spotted the remnants of such chopped trees lying for past many days at couple of places between my residence and office and none in the civic body seems to take interest to clear the mess. 

I even brought it to the notice of municipal truck driver who was picking up trash nearby but he replied it is the job of the #BMC dumper, he is not assigned for it. Of late, I had read a couple of news about the same issue where locals in Bandra & Lokhandwala, Mumbai had complained for uprooted trees not been cleared in their areas by BMC.

Probity of PM questioned in Parliament today

SNR BJP MP'S LETTER AGAINST HIS OWN PARTY FUELS THE ISSUE.

The Congress MPs surprised & greeted the house with black bands and a placard specially phrased to humiliate PM, Narendra Modi, “Bada Modi mehrbaan to chhota Modi pehelwan" to protest over external affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Lalit Modi. Lok Sabha Speaker did not like it and warned of taking disciplinary actions against them if they flouted the procedural rules of the house wearing black bands and by showing placard.

The parliament had to be adjourned again and again because of the relentless ruckus coming from the Congress side after the Speaker rejected adjournment motion moved by Mallikaarjun Kharge & other leaders. As a result of rejection of the motion, the opposition stormed the Well and disrupted the house.



This happened the in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sushma who had tweeted that she would disclose the name of a Congress leader, accused of coal scam, who had asked for travel relaxations.



On the other side, Rajya Sabha was adjourned too in similar fashion over Lalit Modi and Vyapam admission and recruitment scam of Madhya Pradesh. Eventually the opposition along with BSP and Left insisted the debate would not be allowed without the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj & Vasundhara Raje who had allegedly helped Lalit modi.



With regard to Vyapam, BJP said the state issue can not be discussed as per the rules of the house but Congress refused to accept it as State issue since the killings have taken places in other states as well.




In defence of Sushma, Arun Jaitley argued that she has not flouted any law of the constitution which really surprised everyone. if it is true and there is nothing wrong in helping an absconder of India laws then how come, PM is silent over it




Today, Mayavati appeared seemingly very vicious attacking PM saying the episode had exposed PM who had promised, NO KHAOONGA, NA KHANE DOONGA. To show solidarity, the opposition ganged up giving notices to suspend business of the house to discuss on Lalitgate and Vyapam.The letter from senior BJP MP, Shanta Kumar added fuel to the issue.
