Mumbai Model, Allegedly trapped & Raped by Policemen at police station itself.
The accused cops confessed to having been party to the crime with the intention of making Fast & easy bucks.
Even the advanced & educated women are not safe in metro cities like Mumbai, a financial capital of india, let alone naive & simple women from poor strata.
LAWLESSNESS AT A SECUREST PLACE OF LAWFULNESS...
On 3rd April, 2015, A POLICE STATION, believed to be safest place for a woman's security turns blood-curdling hell for a young model where the so-called lawful animals ravaged her dignity and modesty. So much so, with the threats to put them behind bars, they extorted successfully around ten lakhs worth of jewelry and cash from the model and her friend.
The entire nation has risen on number of occasions with candle march & protests against crime against women but the scene is getting uglier day by day. When these black sheep in our police force commit such horrific crimes they not only blot the gravitas of police dept but degrade the dignity of law as well in the eyes of citizens.
Three cops and four others including a woman, accused of rape and extortion of this case have been identified as API Khatape, Suryavanshi and constable Kode. It seemed like a planned raid on this young model through the dragnet of a coordinator who had called her to a hotel in Andheri east for a deal of two lakhs or else the cops would have followed the requisite norms & procedures for the official raid.
The moment she showed reluctance, she was cornered by cops in plain clothes and taken to #SakiNakaPoliceChowky, Sangharsh Nagar Beat Chowky no-1 where they threatened the the model and her friend to such an extent that her friend had to rush to several ATMs to arrange money to secure her release. API Khatpe who was left alone with her has been accused of sexual assault by this model. On the other side, the cops in their defense have alleged that she was soliciting. Does a cop have a right to rape a woman even if she was soliciting?
Quite often, Mumbai cops have issued circulars to several societies of private buildings where thefts and killings of elderly people were taking place. Are we likely to see the time in India when the routine work of every police station would be carried out under the constant watchful eyes of CCTV cameras. Had there been CCTV installation in that police chowky the cops would not have dared to even touch this model let alone committing such heinous crime.
