WHO SAYS PUBLIC IS FAR MORE POWERFUL THAN PUBLIC SERVANTS IN INDIA?
BJP PREPARING ITSELF FOR ANOTHER HEADACHE AFTER LAND ORDINANCE...
BUREAUCRACY SHOWS ITS SUPREMACY |
This step is majorly believed to be taken to shield bureaucracy that has shown great deal of hesitancy for their decisiveness for important matters of the government. CBI that investigates such cases is believed to have given its views too for the said amendments. This issue was discussed in a recent meeting among Prime minister Narendra Modi and high-level secretaries & other important officers who decided unanimously to expedite the process.
The opposition that has already taken on BJP boldly on Land acquisition ordinance would soon have another deadly weapon in their hands to assault the central government the moment amendment is done. To me, it appears like another headache in the making for BJP. They would have to tread cautiously though on these proposed amendments or else they would soon be isolated on GRAFT BILL too and not be able to defend themselves. Our former Prime minister Manmohan Singh was recently summoned by a trial court in coal scam along with many bureaucrats after this new bill came into force that was prepared by the previous UPA government under the immense pressures coming off FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION MOVEMENT to conciliate the strong voices of Indians against series of scams. Mr Arun Jaitley alluded to the environment of distrust among public servants in the central government.
If the decisions are taken honestly & judiciously by our bureaucrats and politicians in favor of national interests there is no reason for them to panic and no need of any amendment to any law. Would the law be as effective after such amendments to this graft bill that was to serve as a strong deterrent to curb corruption in this country.
Is it an action to fight against corruption or an attempt to protect corruption?
It is obvious now the Indian Bureaucracy has shown its power to the entire nation. In other plain and simple words they are saying, nobody can make law in India to harm them. They have been the bosses, they are the bosses and they would remain the bosses in the future since they are running this country the way they feel right. Ironically, our PM who had once said, "NO KHAOONGA NA KHANE DOONGA" is in the forefront to crush the effectiveness of this law.
