TOP COP OF INDIA GETS AXED FROM 2G SCAM INVESTIGATION TEAM BY THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA

CBI CHIEF, MR. RANJIT SINHA AT LAST GETS WHAT HE DESERVES FROM THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA.

Just a few days before his retirement, CBI chief receives a major blow as the supreme court in an unprecedented order, shakes him off the 2G scam investigating team and orders him not to interfere with the case's progress and that the next senior most officer from the investigating team would take over the investigation from him and proceed further. some of the CBI officers who had accompanied the chief were asked to leave the court as their presence were not required.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER !

This SC ruling raises serious doubts about his credibility and undermines his alleged intact image. Ever since an entry register from his residence came out in the open with the names of those personal visitors that are under CBI investigation pertaining to high profile cases of various scams, Ranjit sinha has been under SC scanner. It is no less than a relief to CBI chief, I must say as He should have been off CBI office itself instantly after his confession that he had met a few people at his residence who were under CBI investigation. If you remember, he and his lawyer had requested SC to reveal the name of the whistleblower who had given the register, a prima facie credible evidence, to Prashant Bhushan. As if he was dying to hunt the man who had caused ruin to his career and reputation. Later, Ranjit Sinha himself had launched investigation at his office to find out who could possibly be behind his character assassination.

What a befitting well deserving retirement farewell for CBI Chief of India!

It is an interesting fact to note here, SC has not given elaborate order to save the image and reputation of the premier agency. If you may recall this very CBI chief had sparked controversy with an abhorring statement over rape issue. With his crass and uncivilized opinion that there is no harm in betting being legalised, he said "If you cannot enforce the ban on betting, it is like saying 'if you can't prevent rape, you enjoy it".

The former CBI Chiefs have condemned him as his deeds have tarnished the image of CBI. I wonder why haven't they installed CCTV at the exterior of the residence of CBI chief to monitor the movements of the visitors showing up for personal meetings. If it is already installed then it is quite easy to establish who who had come to see him to take favors.

SC also scorned CBI director, Ranjit Sincha's charges that DIG Santosh Rastogi was the person who had helped with information to the petitioner against him whereas the other CBI officers did not support his allegation since he did not have the evidence to prove it.

It can not be forgotten that in 1996, Mr. Ranjit sinha as DIG in the CBI under the joint director, U N Biswas was accused of scuttling the investigation to help the accused, Lalu Prasad Yadav in the fodder scam. When Patna High court learn about how he had toned down the original report, he was removed from the case immediately in the similar fashion as in 2G scam case now.

OLD HABITS SELDOM DIE!

I wonder who assigned him as CBI chief in the first place without properly looking into his past history. Did he really deserve to be on this highest post? He has not only spoiled CBI's image but also the image of India since he is heading the ACE INVESTIGATING AGENCY of this country and people overseas must be reading & watching about all this drama.
